Took the day off today for a much needed luncheon and some light shopping with one of my close girlfriends, became obsessed with the bright orange daisy-type flower that was the table's centre piece, and thoroughly inspired by The Olde Sweet Shoppe next door!
It was like walking onto part of the set for Mel Stuart's 1970's Willy Wonka. Gorgeous dark wooden cases lined the entire store with every colour, every sweet and every chocolate under the sun sitting on the shelves, and school children milling about whilst mums tried to cut down the sugar intake!
Decided that I would love to use that old-fashioned authentic sweet shop as inspiration for my Final Major Project, just thinking about the possibilities gets me all excited! I'm thinking huge sets and candy furnishing and candy costumes AND the ideas keep on coming
