After settling on my new work space in Manchester, right by the floor to ceiling windows so I can make the most of the natural light, I set to work brainstorming what it is about light that fascinates me. I soon realised that there are many different aspects, that I then identified in my previous photos, and so narrowed it down to the distortion of shapes when light is captured on a slow shutter and the intensity of colour and contrast.
This has beautifully brought me around to the idea of light drawing.
Purposefully manipulating light to form the shapes I give it and creating images in the dark that relate to my degree. The final plan being to create a stop-start animation and a set of Light Costumes.
